Christian Education
As a Congregation striving to be disciples of Jesus Christ we understand the importance of learning His story and teaching. Christian Education at Trinity focuses on making regular and stimulating learning opportunities available and supporting the parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles of our congregation as they pass on their faith to the children in their hands.
On a continuing basis we offer:
-Sunday School for learners ages 3-years to adult
-Vacation Bible School for a week in the summer
to children 3 to 5 years-of-age1
-Day Camp for a week in the summer for elementary
age children
-Youth Group during the school year to students
in jr. and sr. high school
-Synod-wide youth events including the Synod
Youth Gathering held each November
-Nation-wide youth events including the National
Youth Gathering held every third year
-Scholarships to nearby Camp Lutherlyn to
allow our children to attend during the summer.
-Weekly Bible study for adults.
As we continue to support our families in their baptismal vows, we present Bibles to children entering kindergarten and third grade. Numerous intergenerational events are held throughout the year. These have included:
-Advent Craft Luncheon
-Epiphany Home Blessings
-Souper Bowl Sunday to raise awareness
of world hunger and collect cans of soup for our congregation's food pantry
-Lenten Prayer Mats
Additionally, we support the life of the congregation by offering nursery services for preschool children during worship and providing many resources in our church library.
